The main role of a Maternity Nurse is to assist new parents with all aspects of newborn baby care and guide and support them with whatever issues they and their new baby might be experiencing – general baby care, supporting with breastfeeding and/or bottle feeding, establishing a routine if desired, looking after the new mum so that she can recover after giving birth, washing & ironing of baby’s clothes, keeping nursery organised and tidy, sterilising baby equipment, etc.
Our Maternity Nurses are available for nights, days or mostly 24 hours a day. Depending on your needs, you can book a Maternity Nurse for a few weeks or a few months too (bookings for 6 months or longer are also available).

Typical Maternity Nurse duties include:
- Assist new parents during the day and/or night
- Help set up a nursery before baby’s arrival (if needed)
- Keep a record of all naps, feeds, wet nappies
- Establish a routine (if desired)
- Teach how to change a nappy, how to hold a baby, how to settle a baby, how to give a bath
- Help with feeding (breast and/or bottle feeding, combined feeding, expressing)
- Create a safe environment for your baby
- Dress, bathe your baby, and wash and iron baby’s laundry
